Absalom B. Walker appears on the 1900 census for Oneonta, Bliunt County, with his wife Fanny and three son: Willie, Grady and Bishop. The father and two of the sons are here at Moodys Cemetery. The third son Bishop Keener Walker married Grace Ethal Dillashaw and they had four sons and an equal number of daughters. The first son was Terry Kilpayrick Walker and he married Dora Lorene Alexander the daughter of James Robert Alexander and Fannie E. Nix. Both parents are our kin. James Robert's linage is James L. Alexander and Salena Holden, then William Alexander and Ann Beeson Lewis, an Daniel D. and Mary Alexander. The linage for Fannie E. Nix is Davie S.Nix and Nancy J. (Fannie) McCedon, then Daniel (Granger) Nix and Elizabeth Ann Holden, then Jennings Nix and Lucinda (Letty) Alexander, the daughter of Daniel and Mary Alexander.
Dora Alexander lived across the street from my family in Walnut Park, Alabama City when I was young and she was my piano teacher. Dora is not to blame for my lack of musical ability. This was long before I knew that;
Dora Alexander is our 2C1R if you consider Daniel Nix to be our first common ancestor. She is also kin in several other ways, because we have other common ancestors.

Rev. Absalom Walker with wife Martha A. V. and son Marvin G appear on the 1910 Census for Altoona, Etowah County, Alabama. Highland Avenue. Both men were born about the same time, 1857 to 1858. The census does not give exact birthdays. It is possible that they represent the same family, that Fanny died and Absalom moved to Altoona and married a much younger Martha A.V. Marvin G. is also Marvin Grady Walker, who dies in 1913. But all that would leave 10 year old Bishop unaccounted for. One Absalom says his parents were born in Alabama and Georgia, the other claims South Carolina for both parents. So I am assuming they are two seperate families, for now and continuing to search.
