James E. "Jim" Alder, 82, died Monday, July 07, 2008, at his residence in Tupelo, Miss.
Services were held at St. James Catholic Church with Father Tom Lalor officiating. Burial was in Itawamba Memorial Gardens. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors were in charge of the arrangements.
He was a Native of Toledo, Ohio, he was born May 19, 1926, to James Alder and Anna Kehl Adler.
He was a World War II Air Corps Veteran, serving with the 8th Air Force in the European Theatre.
After his retirement from Abbott Labs, he moved with his family to Tupelo in 1990. He was a Member of St. James Catholic Church.
Survivors include 3 Sons, Mark Alder and Wife, Cecilia, of Hinsdale, IL; Michael Alder and Wife, Cathy, of Tupelo; and Jeff Alder and Wife, Sally, of Manhattan Beach, CA; 3 Grandchildren, Matthew Alder of Hinsdale and Bradley and Rachel Alder of Manhattan Beach; and several Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Wife of 48 years, Fannie Alder on Sept 01, 2007; and a Brother, Robert Alder.
Pallbearers were Wayne Thorn, Eric Thorn, Grayson Robbins and Steve Prestridge.
