Mrs. Laura Weaver Dies; Rites Today

Mrs. Laura Groves Weaver, 73, resident of Dallas County for seventy years and well-known figure in communities near Mesquite, died suddenly Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Sadie Sisk, 7300 Military Drive in Urbandale.

Born in Johnson County, Mrs. Weaver was brought to Dallas County at the age of 3 by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Johnston (sic), pioneers of Johnson County.

Surviving are two sons, Frank Groves and John Groves, and two daughters, Mrs. Sisk and Mrs. Viola Morris, all of Dallas County.

Funeral services and burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday by the Rev. J. A. Littlejohn at the Bennett Cemetery near Mesquite.
