Mrs. Hallie Rowland Arnold, 77, widow of C. M. Arnold, pioneer educator of Eminence and a member of a family of early settlers of the community, died at her home on South Main Street on Thursday morning following an illness of several months.
She is survived by a daughter: Mrs. L. S. Moss, Eminence; two sons: C. M. Arnold, Bloomfield and W. June Arnold, Lexington; and by two brothers: Clark Rowland, Shelbyville and Henry Rowland, Louisville.
Funeral services were held at the residence at 4:00 p.m. Saturday with burial in the Eminence Cemetery.
