Mr. Roy Calvin Errett 89,of Findlay joined the heavenly angels in the celebration of Crist's birth on December 25, 2005 while in company of family members at Fox Run Manor, Findlay. Mr. Errett was born in Van Buren, Ohio on March 24,1916, the son of the late Elijah and Carrie(Baumgardner)Errett.
He was the husband of Pauline(King)Errett. They were married in Arlington Ohio on October 30,1938 in Pauline's childhood home. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage.
Calvin is survived by a daughter: Carol Ann(John)Wolford, Findlay; and a son; John(Sandy) Errett, Findlay. He is survived by 8 grandchildren; Liz Long, Findlay; Pam Gregory, Findlay; Tim Wolford, Florida; Jeff Wolford, Arlington; Marnie Carpenter, Cincinnati; Sarah Sloan, Cincinnati; Julie McGlade Findlay; Jodie DiRe,Findlay; 11 great grandchildren Amber Dunham,Flordia; Shannon Wolford, Indiana; Kayla Wolford, Flordia; Claire Gregory, Findlay; John Carpenter, Cincinnati; Rachel Carpenter, Cincinnati;Mitchell Sloan, Cincinnati; Jordan McGlade, Findlay; Jenna McGlade,Findlay; McKenna DiRe, Findlay; Nathaniel DiRe, Findlay; and 1 great great grandchild: Abby Dunham,Florida.
He was proceded in death by two brothers Harold and Claire Errett and a sister Verna Strauser.
Calvin was the owner of and a detailer at Errett Car Waxing located in Findlay Ohio. He was involved with Errett Car Waxing for 52 years. He was previously employed by Dally Funeral Home in Arlington, Coldren Crates Funeral Home in Findlay, and Perry Miles Funeral Home Findlay. He was also a school bus driver for Arlington Local Schools.
He was a member of Stonebridge Church of God Findlay, Oh., since 1967 where he was a Trustee Chairman of ushers, a Greeter, and Vice President of the Friendship Sunday School class.
