Val Ray Pyle, age 69, passed away
December 10, 2000, surrounded by his loving family in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Val was born March 12, 1931 in Norris City, Illinois to Hubert and Marie Mayberry Pyle. He graduated from West High School. Val married LaVonne Webb, and they later divorced.
Val was well liked and respected in the automotive business. He owned and operated Pyle Wheel and Brake and Val's Alignment for many years. One of his greatest joys was spending time with this grandchildren and watching them play ball. He also enjoyed traveling, golfing, watching football and the Utah Jazz. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him. Val is survived by his loving companion, Shirley Mariani; daughters: Roni (Travis) Peterson, Riverton and Rae (Dave) Purdy, West Jordan; sons, Roger (Julie) Pyle, West Jordan; Ryan (Shawna) Pyle, South Jordan; and Russell (Peggy) Pyle, Draper; mother, Marie Mayberry Pyle; sister, Dorothy (Dot) Nash, Tustin, Calif., and Val was blessed with 14 grandchildren. Val is also survived by nieces, Robyn Eidenmuller, Randi Nash, Ricki Antaya and nephew, Rod Nash, all of Calif. Val is preceded in death by his father, Hubert (Gizz) Pyle.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000 at 2 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home Chapel, 4335 W. 4100 So. The family will receive friends at a viewing Tues., Dec. 12th from 6-8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services on Wed.. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park. Funeral Directors: Valley View Funeral Home.
