Milos Sharkey Begovich died Friday, August 9, 2002, at his home in Gardnerville, Nevada at the age of 76 years.

He was born August 1, 1926 to Chris and Soke Begovich in Plymouth, California. He attended local schools and graduated from Sutter Creek High School in Sutter Creek.

He owned and operated Sharkey's Casino in Nevada for 60 years. He was a member of numerous service organizations in and around Gardnerville, Nevada.

He is survived by his son, Butch Begovich, of Gardnerville, NV; daughter, Mashelle Begovich, of Gardnerville; sister, Doris Stock of Jackson, CA; grandchildren, Mary Sophia, Christopher Paul Begovich, Jeff E. Begovich, Kari Ann Begovich, Todd Balcon, all of Gardnerville, and Merry Katherine Begovich, of Hanford, CA.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, John C. Begovich and Bob Begovich; sisters, Janie Williams and Anne Casagagrande.

Friends are invited to attend a prayer service, Friday, August 16, 2002, 7:00 PM at Daneri Mortuary in Jackson, California. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2002 at 10:00 AM, at Daneri Mortuary Chapel in Jackson, California. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM at the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Cemetery in Jackson, California.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Amador County Transportation Fund, 516 Sutter St., Jackson, CA 95642 or the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 207 S. Amador, Ione, CA 95640.
