The deceased was one of the oldest residents of this place, having passed the greater portion of her life at Pascagoula and Scranton. She had been ill for the passed month and died peacefully at her home on the Pascagoula River, surrounded by her loving and sorrowing family. Mrs. Delmas was the daughter of the late Capt. John Grant, of Grant Pass fame, and was born in Baltimore, Md., in 1822. She leaves a husband, six sons, three daughters, besides thirty-four grand and great grandchildren.
Her funeral took place Monday at 3:30 o'clock p.m. from the Catholic Church, proceeding to the Pascagoula Cemetery, where her remains were laid to rest.
