He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Theresa Adams; sons, Burton Erick Adams and James Edward Adams, III; grandson, Michael Andrew Adams; sister and brother-in-law, DeEtta and Kenneth Lavery; nephew, Michael Milford; nieces, Starla Negin and Kimberly Rasar.
