Mr. Brinkmeyer retired from GM&O Railroad and New Holland-Middletown School District.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II.
He was of the Lutheran faith and a member of the Middletown American Legion.
Survivors: a daughter, Beverly (husband, Ronald) Sparks of Lincoln; a grandchild; a brother, Elmer Brinkmeyer of Lincoln; and four sisters, Lucille Lee of Lincoln, Dorothy Wark of Middletown, Florence Dixon of Chicago and Lorene Tackman of Mason City.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Burial: Irish Grove Cemetery in Middletown.
