Mrs. Baker was born April' 10, 1879 in Joplin, Missouri, the daughter of William and Mary McCune Nutt. She was married to Junes Edward Baker in Springfield, Dec. 22, 1899. He died in 1949.
Surviving are one daughter, Mortense Arnoia, Edinburg; one son, Ralph, Mendon, Missouri; two sisters, Ida Jane Hull, Rochester and Edna Baker, Springfield; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
