Edwardsville--Virginia Lee Tosovsky, 73, died at 8:38 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2000, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
Born Oct. 29, 1926, in St. Louis, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Nagel) Backs.
She first married Robert E. Herrmann Sept. 28, 1945. He died May 31, 1981. She married Ernest A. Tosovsky Sept. 1, 1984. He survives.
Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Bill H. and Sandi Herrmann of Edwardsville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Janice Burklow of New Baden and Cynthia and Edward Hoog of Staunton; five grandchildren, Jason Stamer, Jeff Lane, Jennifer Billhartz and Kiley and Kara Herrmann; four great-grandchildren, Thomas Stamer, Josh Henderson, Whitney Lane and Brogan Lane; and a number of stepchildren, stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, June Backs, and a half sister, Adrienne Archibald.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Weber Funeral Home in Edwardsville.
