J.P. Sorrells retired railway employee
J.P. "Rusty" Sorrells, of Smyrna, died Saturday.
Services will be 4 p.m. today in the chapel of the Roy Davis Funeral Home in Austell with the Dr. Lamar Barden officiating. Burial will be at Paulding Memorial Gardens.
A Baptist, Mr. Sorrells was a member of the Royal Art Masonic Chapter No. 160, the Nelms Lodge No. 323 (Smyrna Masonic Lodge), the Smyrna chapter of the Eastern Star No. 387 and the T.C.U. Carman Division Local Union No. 6554. He was retired from the Southern Railway Co.
He is survived by his wife christine Argo Sorrells of Smyrna; one son, J.T. Sorrells of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. George Gustin of Manassas, Va., and Mrs. E.R. Bowler from Newport News, Va.; one brother , J.E. Sorrells of Dallas; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
