Mr. Hillis was a native of New Market, AL, son of the late Lonnie B. & Ollie Fults Hillis, a farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.
Along with his parents, Mr. Hillis was preceded in death by 1 grandchild: Lonnie Dale Hillis, Jr. and 4 brothers: Elmer Hillis, Hoyt Hillis, Grady Hillis, C.S. Hillis.
Survivors include his wife: Dovie Jane Peden Hillis of Flintville, TN; 3 daughters: Nancy Kay Gault of Plevna, AL, Tena Aline Johnson of Garth, AL, Tammy Fay Padgett of Meridianville, AL; 4 sons: Robert Stanley Hillis, James Arlon Hillis both of Flintville, TN, Lonnie Dale Hillis of Mulberry, TN, Stephen Doyle Hillis of Elora, TN; 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
