Obituary from the Gardner News:
Ovide J. Mailloux, 63, of 485 Parker street, died late last night in his home following a short illness. He was born April 12, 1881 in Actonvale, P.Q., the son of George and Alexina (Marion) Mailloux and had lived in this city 60 years. He was employed by the Heywood-Wakefield Co. for the past 49 years.
Mr. Mailloux was a member of the Holy Rosary parish and the Sacred Heart League of the Holy Rosary Church, also the Hillcrest Aerie F. O. E., Les Artisans and the Heywood-Wakefield Social Club.
Surviviors are his wife, the former Regina Antil, two daughters, Miss Irene Mailloux and Mrs. Leona Mulcahy of this city, and three sons, Leo and Albert of Gardner and Omer of New York City.
The funeral will be held Monday morning from the Lamoureux Funeral Home with a solemn high mass of requiem at 8:30 in the Holy Rosary church. Burial will be in the family lot in Notre Dame Cemetary. Visiting hours at the funeral home tomorrow and Sunday will be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.

The funeral of Ovide J. Mailloux, 63, of 485 Parker street, who died Thursday night, was held this morning from the Lamoureux Funeral Home, with a solemn high mass at 8:30 in the Holy Rosary church. Rev. George L. Brunelle was celebrant, assisted by Rev. Sylvio P. Thomas as deacon and Rev. Fernand Roy as sub deacon.
There were many friends and relatives present from this city, Fitchburg, Chicopee Falls, Springfield, Oxford, and New York City and Jaffee, N. H. There were many floral tributes.
The bearers were Stanislaus Coiteux, Irenee Mailloux, Leonce Mailloux, J. Francis Houde, Louis Eroux, Gardner, and Saul Chartier, Chicopee Falls. Burial was in Notre Dame cemetary.
