Joe Max White, 79, of Ulysses, Kansas, died early Saturday morning, January 20, 2007, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital, Ulysses. The son of Pearl Lee and Roxann Watie, he was born December 23, 1927 at Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
He served his country during WWII in the US Army. He moved from Sallisaw to the Ulysses area in 1952.
He and Modene M Miller were married April 6, 1948, at Van Buren, Arkansas. She preceded him in death December 17, 1998.
Joe worked in maintenance for Columbia Chemical Co., Hickok, Kansas from 1952 to 1990. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Ulysses.
