Margaret Agner Mays, age 83, joined the Lord on Wednesday, July 2, 2008. Meme, as she was to all of us, was born on January 28, 1925. Meme was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Agner, her parents, and her brother.
Meme leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Judson Mays; her daughter, Sharon L. Ball; her son and daughter-in-law, William S. Agner, Jr. and Sherry Agner; her grandchildren, Sharina L. Goodrich, Morgan J. Ball, IV (Celia), William S. Ball (Elizabeth), Shawn L. Ball, and Charles Agner (Stephanie); 10 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.
Meme was a member of Bellview United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer for many years. Meme was Past Worthy Matron and was a member of the Ensley Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. Another great joy in her life was serving as a member of the Advisory Board of the West Florida Assembly #91, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, where she was honored as a recipient of the Grand Cross of Color.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2008 at FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 100 Beverly Pkwy with Rev. William "Bill" Agner officiating. Graveside service and interment will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 7, 2008 at Barrancas National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests to please send donations to the International Order of Rainbow for Girls Scholarship Fund, in care of Grand Assembly of Florida, 1311 Avalon, Castleberry, Florida 32707, or the charity of your choice.
