Shirley Ann Vaughn of Porter passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Muskogee Regional Medical Center. She was 63 years old.

Shirley was born on October 23, 1944 in Coweta, Oklahoma to Glenn Otis and Marie Evelyn (Swartwood) Martin. She received her education in the Broken Arrow school system and graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1963. Shirley and Alvin Wayne Vaughn were united in marriage on May 11, 1990 in Miami, Oklahoma.

Shirley was a homemaker for most of her life. Her hobbies included painting, woodcarving, crafts, sewing, camping, and fishing.

Survivors include her husband; five daughters and husbands; two brothers; eleven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2007 at the Forest Ridge Baptist Church in Broken Arrow with Rev. Brent White officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home in Coweta.
