Anna Lee Drake, 84, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, in the Flint Hills Care Center, where she had been a resident since suffering a stroke in 2001.
She was born July 23, 1922, at Fredonia, the daughter of James Arthur and Grace Darlene McPhail Drake. She moved, with her family, from Olivet to a farm north of Lamont. She graduated from Lamont High School.
She moved to Emporia in 1955 and worked at Fanestil Meats for 18 years.
She was an avid gardener and it was her love to share for all to enjoy. She was a member of Miriam Chapter No. 14, Order of the Eastern Star, Emporia.
Survivors include a sister, Hazel Schoepflin, Reseda, Calif.; and a stepbrother, Curtis McCauley, Emporia.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Kenneth and Dana Drake; four stepbrothers, Howard, Fred, Charles and Donald McCauley; parents; stepfather, Robert McCauley; and stepsister, Doris Berry.
Cremation is planned. No services will be held. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Scranton Cemetery in Scranton.
Arrangements are being made by Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
