"Mary Jane English, 84, of Williamsport, Indiana, Route 2, departed this world to be with the Lord at 1:45 p.m. Sunday (December 23, 1990) at USMC Sager Campus. She was born March 6, 1906, in Manchester, Kentucky, to James and Amanda Elizabeth Hall Greer. Her first marriage was December 4, 1926, to Delmar Murray. He preceded her in death. Her second marriage was August 9, 1968, to Allen English. He survives.

Clyde (Amanda) Blankenship, Mrs. George (Bethel) Schaeffer, and Mrs. Clifton (Nadine) Sample, all of Veedersburg, Ind.; one son, Edmon Murray of Williamsport; four stepsons, James, Allen Jr., and Homer, all in Alabama, and Wesley of Georgetown; two brothers, Earl Greer of Lafayette, Ind., and Vernal Greer of Pine Village, Ind.; one stepbrother, General Noe in Kentucky; a half sister, Leola Greer in Kentucky; and 16 grandchildren, 18 step grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters, and three grandchildren.
She was a member of Sterling Church of God.

Services were held at the Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Richard Throckmorton officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery in Veedersburg." - Wabash Valley Reporter, December 27, 1990
