Died in the Bogalusa Hospital, Sept. 12, 1929, Martin M. Knight, age 66 years, 3 months and 12 days, is former resident of Washington parish.

His first wife was Emma Corkern who died March 7, 1909. He was again married Dec. 20, 1911, to Miss Mena Kahl.

He moved from Washington parish to Bush, St. Tammany parish, about four years ago.

He leaves nine children by his first wife. They are Mrs. Bertha Spencer, Mrs. Velma Jones and Mrs. Carrie Jones of Enon, LA. Thadeus Knight of New Orleans, Floyd, Carl and Howard Knight of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Nina Mae Mizell and DeWitt Knight of Bogalusa, LA., and two children by his second wife, Dillon and M. M. Knight of Bush, and twenty-one grandchildren.

His remains were laid to rest in the Enon cemetery. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. F. D. Elliott and Horatio Mitchell.
