Funeral services are being held this afternoon at the family residence on Route B. Perkinston, for Mrs. Zelma Ware Parker, age 86, who died Wednesday night at the home.
Rev. Otis Jones, pastor of the Perkinston Baptist church, conducted the rites. Burial followed in the Price cemetery near Wiggins.
Widow of William Toles Parker, Mrs. Parker had lived in Stone county for 69 years. She was born in Van Cleave, Jackson county, in 1862. She was a member of the Perkinston Baptist Church. She has been an invalid for a number of years.
Mrs. Parker is survived by four sons, J. B. Park, Perkinston, Henry Parker, Wiggins, H. H. Parker, Poplarville, and Rev. Nat Parker, Hamilton, Canada; and five daughters, Mrs. Anna Bond, Mrs. Laverte Batson, Mrs. Menia Wheat and Mrs. Ethel Ike, all of Hattiesburg, and Mrs. George Boone, Lumberton.
