Lucy Ann Taylor was the daughter of Dr. John Taylor and Nancy Ann Cooper of Lafayette Co., MS. Lucy Ann married John James Higginbotham (J.J.), a Confederate veteran and cousin of Wilson Bevin Taylor. John James Higginbotham witnessed W.B. Taylor's Texas Confederate pension, and stated they were cousins. The Taylor line is a D.A.R. line-patriot: Capt.
