NORTHFIELD--Funeral services for Mrs. John Whitson, 82, who passed away at the Northfield hospital, Wednesday, January [sic] 31, where she had been confined for the past three and one half years since fracturing a hip in a fall, was held today. A brief service was held at the Bierman Mortuary at 1:15 p.m. and at the Methodist church at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Wilkinson officiating. Interment will be in the family lot in the Stanton cemetery. The pallbearers will be Herman, Alvin and Edgar Knutson, John McKeag, Oscar and Henry Fox, all of Stanton. Mrs. Whitson is survived by three children, Mrs. Paul Mahnard and Harry of Minneapolis and Claude Whitson of Stanton, There are also four grandchildren.
