Born in Haverhill August 10, 1926, Mrs. Hitchcock was the daughter of the late Charles H.S. and Theresa M. (Kidder) Lightbody.
Erlamond graduated from Haverhill High School. She had worked in the shoe industry for forty years at Goldberg & Brothers, and later as a school cafeteria monitor at Greenleaf School. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school.
Beside her husband she is survived by her sister Beatrice A. "Betty" Collins and her husband Arthur of Haverhill;
half brother Clifford Wentworth of Sandown, NH and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Lois Holt.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Mausoleum at Elmwood Cemetery on Thursday May 22nd at 11:00 a.m. At the family request there will be no calling hours. Arrangements by Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers gifts in her memory may be made to First Baptist Church, 217 Main Street, Haverhill, MA 01830.
