Rudy Sanchez passed away at his home on Saturday, age 57. A native of Hollister, he was preceded in death by his mother Mercedes Sanchez and his father Steve Sanchez.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Sanchez, their three sons Rudy of Hollister, Jarrod and Jason both of Fresno, and his daughter Dina of Hollister; grandchildren, Rudy Anthony, Samantha, Jennifer, and Cheyenne; sisters, Angie Anderson of Florida, Rosie Casarez of Hollister; brother Steve Sanchez of Hollister; and many nieces and nephews.
At a young age, he started working for his father in the apricot orchards. After attending San Benito High School, he served in the U.S. Army from 1971-1973 and was stationed at the former Fort Ord at Monterey Bay. Rudy successfully ran his own trucking company, Rudy Sanchez Trucking, in the Hollister area for over 28 years. He took pride in being a hard worker and providing for his family. He enjoyed camping and other outdoor activities with his family.
Funeral services were held on Monday July 7th, at the Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, with military honors provided by Hollister Post No. 9242, V.F.W. Services provided by: Grunnagle Ament NelsonFuneral Home & Crematory.
