Brock A. Branson, 29, of Rock Falls,IL died Monday, June 30, 2008, at his home. He was employed by Cindy's Trucking for five years.
Brock was born Oct. 16, 1978, in Sterling, the son of Dallas and Connie (Hicks) Branson. He enjoyed fishing, boating, listening to music, and traveling in the mountains. He lived life as if today was today and tomorrow was tomorrow.
Survivors include one daughter, Makaley Velasquez of Rock Falls; his parents of Rock Falls; one sister, Jodi (Aaron) Fitzgerald of Sterling; his maternal grandmother, Virginia Cole of Tampico; his paternal grandmother, Margaret Branson of Rock Falls; one aunt, Libby Branson of Rock Falls; one uncle, George (Klara) Branson of Rock Falls; one niece, Madison Fitzgerald of Sterling; one nephew, Jameson Fitzgerald of Sterling; several other aunts, uncles, and cousins in Colorado, Utah, and Arizona; and his best friend, Ryan Evenson.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Oscar Branson; maternal grandfathers, Cecil Hicks and Don Cole Sr.; and special friends, Kilynna Blake and her son, Dayan Blake.
He was a victim of a serial killer.
