Austa Jane Graves was born on July 24, 1840, in Loraine Co, Ohio. Her father Goodman Graves b 1805 was 25 and her mother Sophia Flower Graves was 24. She lived in Des Moines, Iowa during her formative years. She had two sons with William F Hamilton in the 1870's. They were married on 23 Feb 1873 in Wapello Co, Iowa. She had one son Edward in 1875 and a 2nd son Archie in 1878. She lived out the majority of her life in Polk Co. Nebraska. She passed away on June 20, 1919 in Stromsburg, Nebraska at the age of 79. She was laid to rest next to her husband who had passed on just two years earlier. They are buried together in the Stromsburg Cemetery, in Polk Co., Nebraska
