Henry A Eastman Dies Here Saturday
Henry A Eastman, 80, a native Cowley countian, died at 3:30 am today at Good Samaritan Center. His illness had extended over 17 years.
Born March 17, 1882 near Tisdale, he was the son of Charles H and Nancy Jane Eastman. He was married to Elizabeth Belle Bowen on Oct 28, 1903 and she died in 1947. He farmed in Silver Creek township near Wilmot for a number of years and later in Beaver township near Hackney. He had lived all of his life in Cowley county with the exception of 2 years spent at Edinburg, Tex. He was a member of the Christian church.
Survivors are 7 children, John H of Tisdale, Mrs D E (Dorothy) Young, Mrs Erma D Cook, Cecil E and Leo J of Winfield; Mrs Ruby Wagner , and Mrs Don (Hilda) Steward of Wichita; 27 grandchildren and 37 great- grandchildren ; 2 sisters, Mrs Harriett William, McAllen, Tex, and Mrs Bessie Martin, Winfield.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 pm at Morris Memorial chapel, with Rev D E Young officiating. Interment will be in Wilmot cemetery.
