W R Duncan Passes Away
W R Duncan, for many years one of Chickasaw County's most influential landowners, died Monday morning at 1 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. O B Abernethy. He was 83 years old and had been ill only a week with influenza and pneumonia. He is survived by his daughter and one son, Milwee Duncan, also a stepson, L E Lloyd.
Funeral services were conducted from the home Tuesday morning at ten o'clock by the Rev. M E Scott. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery.
Per the Vital Statistics printed in the Times Post, Houston, Miss., dated April 23, 1936, he is listed as dying March 1, 1936.
