Judge L. Smith, 80, of Zwolle, died Monday, Nov. 20, in Schumpert Medical Center, after a long illness.

A native of Winnfield, he had been a resident of Zwolle for the past six years. He was a resident of Shreveport for 15 years, and operated the Broadmoor Barber Shop.

The funeral was at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, in Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Marshall Street Chapel, with the Rev. Ruben Monk, pastor of Primitive Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Centuries Memorial Park.

Survivors include his widow, Mattie Greer Smith of Zwolle; four sons, A. U. Smith of Colfax, Jessie Eugene Smith of Keatchie, Jerry Rhodes of Seattle, Wash., and Ray Rhodes of Buras; two daughters, Connie Lonadier of Shreveport, and Loyce Clark of Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Dovie McPhearson of Oak Grove; a brother, Jury Smith of Oak Grove; 16 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
