Estacada resident Fred Faverty, died in a Portland hospital on June 25, 2008. He was 57.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 28, at the Clackamas Valley Baptist Church in Estacada. Cremation will follow.
He was born Fredric Michael Faverty, to Marion and Margaret (Bailey).
Faverty in Gary, Indiana on March 23, 1951. He grew up, living in Indiana, Arizona, Utah and California where he graduated from Riverside High School in 1969. He continued his education at Weber State College in Utah for a year.
In 1971, he came to Oregon to live in Portland where he worked in management at Fred Meyer. In 1990, he took ownership of Retail Service Innovation, Inc., which he operated until retiring in 2002.
On April 9, 1977 he married Sheri B. Birge in Portland. They lived in Milwaukie until 1981 when they made their permanent home in Estacada, where they raised their family.
He enjoyed classic cars, hunting, riding horses and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Sheri; son, Jason Faverty of Kimberly, Idaho; daughters, Jenny Harding of Estacada and Rachel Craft of Vancouver, Washington; mother, Margaret Faverty of Longmont, Colorado; brothers, Patrick Faverty of Goleta, California; and Brian Faverty of Loveland, Colorado; sisters, Alice Linhart of Swisher, Iowa and Ellen Williamson of Loveland, Colorado; and 8 grandchildren.
