George Edward Foster peacefully slipped into the hands of our Lord Saturday, October 15, 2005.

Devoted and loving husband of the late Gloria Chisholm Foster. Son of the late George and Clara Foster. Mr. Foster retired after many long years from the City of Wilmington, the State of Delaware and the DuPont Co. He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was an active member since his youth of the Mt. Zion AUMP Church, where he served faithfully as a trustee. He was a man of God and a devoted father.

Predeceased by his daughter, Alice M. Hairston; his brother, George Coston (?Cosden); and his sister, Mary Hayward. He leaves to cherish his memory 3 daughters, Aline Harmon, Eleanor Alexander and Paulette R. Lammers; 1 son , Edward St. Clair Foster; 8 grandchildren, including Angela and Kenneth Hairston and Rashoen Kim Russ; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 1 son-in-law, Duane R. Lammers; and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

Funeral 11 am on Wednesday, October 19th, at the Mt. Zion AUMP church, 29th & Jessup Sts. Viewing 9-10:45 am only. Burial Riverview Cemetery.
