Thelma Louise Brantley, 67, of Pine Bluff, died Sunday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 22, 1936, at Pine Bluff, a daughter of Mary Rose Melton Brown of Dallas and the late Ernie Cornelius Brown.
She was reared and received her early education in Dollarway and attended White Hall High School.
She worked as a tailor and seamstress for 25 years before retiring in 1987.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey L. Brantley, whom she married July 25, 1951, at Rison; and two sisters, Ernestine Mize and Ella Dora Smith.
Other survivors include one son, Ernie Michael Brantley of Prague (Grant County); five daughters, Virginia Holloway of Rockford, Ill., Teresa Shikenjanski of White Hall, Denese Y. Brantley and Nancy Jo Rosa Brantley, both of Pine Bluff, and Romona Luane Brantley of Indianapolis; one brother, Bill Brown of Big Sandy, Texas; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
