Robert, Bob to those who knew him well, was born and raised in Mishawaka, IN. He attended Freed Hardeman College to become a Gospel preacher and a school teacher. On October 9, 1955 he married Marilyn Elsie Snyder from Danville, IL. Together they had five children: Jeanie, John, Steve, Debbie, and Sandi. He was the Gospel minister at the Pleasant Mound church of Christ for 19 years. During that time he taught at Georgetown High School. His main love there was teaching American History, emphasizing the U.S. Constitution. However, he was also the Senior Sponsor, school bus driver, summer school teacher, GED teacher and much more. He was a great man who loved God, his family, and his work. He loved having fun and laughing, fishing, the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bears, Indiana University (from where he had received his Master's Degree in History), gardening, and hard work. He is still very much missed.
