Bradley C. Leatherwood, cashier of the First National Bank in Mt. Airy, died Thursday, March 6, 1941, at his heme in Mt. Airy. He was aged 54 years. Mr. Leatherwood, a son of the late Francis and Rosa Day Leatherwood, had been employed at the Mt. Airy bank for the past 36 years and for the past eight years had served as cashier, succeeding the late E. L. Burdette. He was a member of Prudence Lodge, No. 190, Free and Accepted Masons, for the past 25 years and was affiliated with the Eastern Star. Mr. Leatherwood was the husband of Mrs. Lillian B. Leatherwood. Surviving, other than his wife, are three children, Mrs. Genevieve Wilbur Dallas, Texas; Miss Helen B. Leatherwood, at home, and John Leatherwood, Delaware, O.; one brother, Herbert, Sykesville; three sisters, Mrs. A. F. Conaway, Mt. Airy; Mrs. Thomas Harrison, Eldersburg, and Mrs. C. R. Hood, Mt. Airy.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the late home. Members of the Masonic lodge will be in charge of rites at the graveside. The Rev. Ralph M. Sharpe, pastor of Calvary Methodist church, Mt. Airy, and the Rev. Philip Edwards, a former pastor of this church, will officiate. Interment will take place in the Pine Grove cemetery. C. M.
