MURRY F. BATTERTON WINTER HAVEN, Jan. 5. Murray Franklin Batterton, 82, died unexpectedly last night at his home. A native of Petersburg, Ill., Mr. Batterton moved here in 1949 after his retirement after teaching more than 40 years in the schools of Menard County, Ill. He was a member of the Christian Church in Athens,Ill. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. H. C. Murphy, Orlando, and Mrs. W. V. Schook, Winter Haven; two sons, P. V. Batterton, Denver, Colo., and M. S. Batterton, Olympia. Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Harriet B. Osgood, San Francisco, Calif., and a brother, H. S. Batterton, Springfield, Ill.
