Former Port Angeles resident Diane Marie Parker of Auburn died from complications of cancer at the University of Washington Medical Center. She was 55.

Born in Kalispell, Mont., to Clarke Russell and Beverly Jean (Hanshaw) Croxford, she came to the Peninsula in 1958 and attended Port Angeles schools.

She was a waitress at Goldie's Restaurant (later known as Iredale's at Front and Lincoln streets) before moving away about 1976 and becoming the receptionist in an Auburn real estate office.

She married Gary Parker in Kent on July 25, 1992.

Mrs. Parker enjoyed returning to the Port Angeles area to camp.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Parker's survivors include daughters Trisha Adams of Ravendale and Linsey Parker of Auburn; mother Beverly Croxford of Port Angeles; brother Michael Croxford of Bend, Ore.; and three grandchildren.

Her son, Gabriel, died in 1995, and her father died in 1984.

Services: Held June 24 at the Elks Lodge in Burien. Inurnment will be in Ocean View Cemetery, 3127 W. 18th St., Port Angeles. American Memorial Funeral Directors was in charge of cremation.
