Mr. John A. White, member of the city council from the 3rd ward, died at his home on Main street last Sunday night. His remains were interred in Maple Park Cemetery Tuesday forenoon.∼for bio: daughter of George M. Proctor and Mary Thompson, died of heart disease, informant MO death cert# 37784. Thanks, Tom
George Proctor White (FAG 17882276) was my Grandfather. In the 1900 Census George Proctor White is 17 years old and living with Edgar and Lu B Rand in Springfield, MO along with his older brother John A White. From George Proctor White’s death certificate we learn that his biological father was John Almous White, but we have not been able to learn anything about him. George's biological mother, according to his death certificate was Lou Belle Proctor (we have seen several variations on Lou B Proctor’s name). We then realize that in 1900, George was living in Springfield with his Step-father and Mother. In the 1940 Census we find Edgar and Lois Bell Rand (now in their early 80’s) living with George Proctor White and Gertrude Grammer White, near Marionville, MO. I have tried to add George Proctor White onto this FAG site, but can not figure out how to add him.
