Roscoe married Nanna M.(or Norma) b. 1877 Oregon∼Roscoe Cantrall was born near Uniontown, Oregon where he spent his youth and received his schooling in the Applegate Valley. In 1899 he joined his father-in-law in purchasing the Ankeny Ranch of 1120 acres. He engaged in general farming, rasising grain and alfalfa and cattle, until 1907. He later built the well known residence on Tenth Street and finally moved to Shippington where he purchased property and buit a home for his family. He became assosiated with the lumber man, Major Robert Johsnon, a national figure in the lumber industry. Mr Cantrall helped establish a large lumber camp near Kirk, Klamath County, before his death in Klamath Falls, September 1917. Bearing a reputation as a foremost gardener of the county, he also was interested in various projects of the city, serving as Councilman and belonging to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge. John Cantrall his father, was a native of Oregon who was much interested in the mines of Jackson County and a successful farmer of that district. He died at Uniontown Oct. 24, 1890. His mother was Sarah A. Newlin, born in Missouri, January 20, 1856. She crossed the plains with her parents in 1853 and settled in the Willamette Valley in Oregon.
In 1898 Nannie May Ankeny and Roscoe E. Cantrall were married at Eugene, Oregon and four children were born to the union: Edward L, born October 25, 1899; Howard S.,born Feb. 10, 1903; Cordelia A.,born april 12, 1904; and Rollin A. Cantrall born August 4, 1905. Klamath Co. History
