Son of Elton Winfred Blakeslee (1879-1933) and Florence Gertrude Buffin(Buffum)(1889-1929). Married: Florence Kathryn "Pat" Kimmeth (1912-1994) Cleon died of a gunshot wound 14 days after a Hunting accident. Left his wife and two children, Delores June Blakeslee and Cleon "David" Blakeslee

"CORONER'S JURY PROBES DEATH OF ERIE MAN IN HUNTING ACCIDENT - Warren, Pa, Dec 2 - A coroner's jury investigated today the death of Cleon Winfred Blakeslee, 29, of Erie, who died in the hospital here Thursday from a bullet wound received in a hunting accident Nov 14. Although his chances for recovery were said to be good when he was admitted to the Warren General hospital, his condition grew steadily worse until his death here Thursday. Blakeslee was struck in the back by a stray bullet as he stooped over to crawl through a fence on the Pete Liberty farm, about six miles south of here. The bullet entered the left side of the neck, passing down backward and coming out beneath the left shoulder blade."
