Gladewater Child Dies Of Leukemia

GLADEWATER (Spl.) - Rebecca Ann (Becky) Crittenden, 9, died at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday at a Longview hospital of leukemia. The tot was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Crittenden, of Gladewater.

The parents had known of the disease for over a year.

Born in Gilmer, the little girl had resided in Gladewater for the past four years.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Everett Funeral Home Chapel here with Rev. Ben Stripling officiating, assisted by Rev. Bill Ricks. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery under the direction of Everett Funeral Home.

Survivors other than the parents include two brothers, Johnny Wayne and James Edward, and a sister, Lavera Jo, all of Gladewater.

Pallbearers will be J.W. Best, M.C. Ginney, Johnny Newel, Jack Minter.
