Malinda is the first of two girls born to Ernest and Carolyn (Sheffield) Roberts. She was married to Kirk Andrew Smith on August 9, 2003.∼Malinda Gaye Roberts Smith, age 40, of West Columbia passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006 in Houston, Texas. Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Kirk; parents, Ernest and Carol Roberts; mother-in-law, Charlotte Smith; daughter, Bobbie Anne Smith; sister, Shari Jones and husband Ken; sister-in-law, Melissa Stark and husband Mike; and nieces, Ashlyn Jones, Lauren Jones, and Zoe Stark; and nephew Zachary Stark. Memorial services are scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006 at 1:00pm at Temple Baptist Church in Clute, 406 East Main, with Pastor David Taylor and Donald Hintze officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Temple Baptist Church Flower Fund.
