He was the Father of Idella Norris who was born on June 19, 1876, Burnet, Burnet, Texas. Idella (Della) married John B. Carr on September 20, 1896, Huckabay, Earth County, TX and later married Sam Mooney in 1921 at Glen Rose, Somerville, TX. Calvin was personally acquainted and worked with Colonel Goodnight. Calvin made several trips with large herds of cattle over the trail to Kansas. Calvin died in the home of Mrs. Callie Benton, his daughter, Texon, Reagan Co, TX.
