Elizabeth is located on the 1850 Kentucky census with her parents and siblings at age 13. She married as Elizabeth Christman on May 19, 1857 in Edgar County, Illinois where her parents moved to and settled.

She married Andrew Jackson Haggerty. They were unable to locate in 1860; it is believed they are moving as Andrew J. Haggerty is found on the 1863 Civil War Draft Registration Records, a Farmer, married and living in Lewis County, Canton Township, Missouri. By 1870, the Haggerty family has settled in Daviess County, Liberty Township. Missouri. By 1900 Missouri census record, this union was blessed with twelve children, eight were living. (Note - believe 9 were still living-Elizabeth has died by 1910 census)
