Dora Agnes Chubbuck Merrill, 83, of St Albans, Maine died Saturday, Sept 17, 1983 at her daughter's (Shirley Cottrell) home in Orem, Utah.

She was born Feb. 13, 1900, in Carroll, Maine, daughter of Maybelle Chubbuck and Alvra Elwood Butters. She married Jesse A Merrill Sr., May 7, 1917, in Prentiss, Maine. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. (Jesse died March 5, 2983.)

Survivors include seven children: Mrs. Eunice Lindsay of Lincoln, Maine; Haley (JuneAnn) Merrill of Dexter, Maine; Clinton (Bernice) Merrill of Olympia, Washington; Mrs. Leta Downs of Vancouver, Washington;
Mrs. Bill (Lois) Emerson of Pittsfield, Maine; Jesse A (Lucinda) Merrill Jr. of St. Albans, Maine; Mrs. Russell (Shirley) Cottrell of Orem, Utah; 39 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

Besides her parents and husband, a daughter Elnora Merrill preceded her in death.

Services will be Wednesday in Pittsfield, Maine at the Donald Shorey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Prentiss, Maine.
