MRS MARY DAMME

Mrs. Mary Brune Damme, of Silver Creek, Nebraska, passed away Thursday morning, Aug.10, 1960, at the hospital in McPherson, Kansas. She had been staying with her daughter Mrs. Edna Layton, of that city, for the last few months. Born in Westphalia, Germany on May 1, 1876,she was the widow of (Herman) H. C. H. Damme who before moving to silver Creek a General Store at Lorton, Nebraska for many years.
 
She was a charter member of the St.John's (McWilliams) Evangelical and Reformed Ladies Aid. Her husband, her two daughters Hannah and Charlotte, and her son Herman preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing the daughter at McPherson, Kansas, and five sons,George at Silver Creek, Edwin, Elmer and Oscar of Sioux City, Iowa, and Alvin of Omaha, and number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral services were held at Silver Creek, Friday 9:30 a.m. and at 2:00 p.m. at the St. John's (McWilliams) Church with Rev. Lewis G. Marx, pastor in charge. Interment was at McWilliams Cemetery.
