Funeral services for David Odell Brinlee, 81, Terrell, Texas will be held at 3:00 PM at Moorhead-Epps Funeral Home, Gun Barrel City with burial services following at 3:00 p.m. at Elm Grove Cemetery, Van Zandt County, with Bro. Doug Page officiating.


Mr. Brinlee went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 30, 2012.

He was born on August 15, 1931 in Anna, Texas where he spent most of his childhood.

He enlisted in the Navy in 1951, where he served in the Korean War aboard the USS Laws.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Bettie Mae Brinlee; his parents, Cecil Odell and Amy Brinlee; three brothers, Billy, Doug, and Dwight Brinlee.

Survivors include children and daughters-in-law David & Danielle Brinlee, Quitman, Texas; Darren & Rhonda Brinlee, Ponder, Texas; Kevin & Elizabeth Brinlee, Terrell, Texas and Kyle Brinlee also of Terrell, Texas. Brother Bobby Don & (Wife) Mary Brinlee of Rockwall, Texas. Grandchildren, Tanna & (husband) Justin, Nathan, Sam, Brittany, Michael and one great grandchild Mason. He also had step-grandchildren, Vanessa, Justin, Kathleen, Jordyn and Jojo. He also had many nieces and nephews.

His passion was the love for his children and grandchildren, working on cars, and a good cup of coffee. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
