LOCAL NEWS FROM COUNTY SEAT
The funeral of Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Yount, wife of John A. Yount, was held at the Holt cemetery near Millersville today. Mrs. Yount, whose maiden name was Hartle, died yesterday at her home five miles west of Millersville at the age of 77 years, the cause of death being pneumonia. Her aged husband and two daughters, Mesdames Ora Probst of Millersville and Lutie Bollinger, at home, survive her.
Mrs. Yount was born in this county and lived all her life in the vicinity where she was born. Her parents, whose name was Hartle, were among the pioneers in this county, and she was the last of a family of five children. Emanuel Hartle, who died in this city a few years ago, was one of her brothers. Since her marriage to Mr. Yount more than fifty years ago, she lived with him on the farm near the Bollinger County line. (Southeast Missourian, Feb. 18, 1921 p.2)
