Martin T. Cox was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company, was one of the organizers of Juniata Borough, and was one of the first borough officials. He had spent 44 yrs. in the Pennsy service, retiring in 1925 & had been a gang leader at WJ for a period of 22 years. He was also one of the organizers & a charter member of Rodgers No. 1 fire company in the borough.

He was twice married, first to Martha Mathes who died in 1920; second to Nettie Grazier who died in 1957.
